About Roots Revealed - a professional genealogy research and tour guide service

Natalie B&W
Natalie Bodle, Genealogist

Hello, my name is Natalie Bodle and I’m a professionally qualified genealogist and tour guide as well as a speaker on the international circuit.

My company Roots Revealed is a Professional Genealogy and Family History Research Service that is based in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.  This is just 30 minutes from Belfast where wonderful archives and repositories such as the Public Records Office Northern Ireland (PRONI), The General Register Office Northern Ireland (GRONI), The Linenhall Library, The Newspaper Library, The Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland Archives, etc are located.

I have many years’ experience of researching family trees and found genealogy such an absorbing and interesting hobby that I decided to work towards a professional qualification: I completed Post Graduate Certificate in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies with the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, with the aim of setting up my own business as a genealogist and family historian.  Roots Revealed was founded in 2018 and we have many satisfied customers as may be seen from the Testimonials page.

My experience in both the public and private sectors equipped me with valuable transferable skills and qualifications such as project management, research, report writing along with the design and delivery of training courses for adults.

I deliver regular genealogy courses and also provide talks and workshops locally, nationally and internationally.  More information about talks and courses may be found here.

I am also a qualified Green Badge Tour Guide having completed the OCN NI Level 2 and 3 Awards in Tour Guiding.

Tourism Northern Ireland has included our Ancestral Adventures Genealogy Tour within their Embrace a Giant Spirit Collection.

Roots Revealed has also been awarded World Host Customer Service accreditation.

Roots Revealed is on a range of Social Media and it would be lovely to have you join us – just see the links at the bottom of the page.
